Vintage maps are fascinating and beautiful. They are full of history and wonder from the discoveries of the first explorers to the excitement of our own adventures in foreign lands. If you are planning a journey of discovery or just love maps this notebook is perfect for recording your adventures and notes.
The maps reused in this notebook are from a large Hansworth Atlas and Gazetter dated 1907. The edition had completely collapsed with pages torn and lost. I have been able to reuse undamaged parts that remained.
• The hard covers and end papers reuse atlas pages with feature pages inside. You can see how this works in the images.
The vintage pages may have some age related ware such as tanning and fixing which adds authenticity, history and character.
• Approximately A5.
• There are 56 pages (112 sides) of a 120gsm Munken Design Pure Rough Cream, perfect for writing and sketching. Combined with feature pages from the original book.
• Hand stitched with a tough white linen thread on a bookbinders sewing frame.
• The spine is flat, made from strong kraft paper and greyboard, reinforced with mull, a traditional binding material which supports the whole book and creating the hinge.
• Books are compleated in the press for a crisp finish.
